FAQs

How much ashes do you need?

We only require half a teaspoon of ashes. Ashes are handled individually with only one families order made at any time. Any ashes not used in your jewellery are kept safe with your order and returned to you with your jewellery, no matter how small the amount. We have strict processes in place to ensure ashes are always kept separate and never mixed up. Our workstation is fully cleaned between creating each item of jewellery.

Can more than one set of ashes be used in a single piece of jewellery?

Of course. Placing ashes together is a beautiful way to keep them close. Simply let us know in the notes section how many sets of ashes you wish to send, and we will send out additional return pots in your inclusion kit. There is no extra charge for this.

How much hair/ fur/ whiskers/ dried petals do you need?

Your inclusion kit will state how much we require for your specific jewellery, but generally we only require just a small pinch. Any inclusion remaining spare after making your jewellery will be kept safe and returned to you with your jewellery.

Do you offer breast milk preservation jewellery to celebrate a babies feeding journey?

Yes, we are proud to offer this service for all of our jewellery. Simply select breast milk from the inclusion drop down menu for the jewellery you would like. Our business materials (such as leaflets and packaging) will not have the word 'memorial' written on them for our breast milk service (with the exception of our web address/ contact details).

In the very sad instance that the breast milk being preserved relates to a lost child, and you would like our business/ packaging materials to reflect that your breast milk jewellery is memorial jewellery, please do let us know when you place your order.

Formula provided by yourselves can also of course be used in place of breast milk.

How do the colour options work for the inclusion stone?

In each of the jewellery listing images, you will see images of various colours and effects. We are proud that we will work to your desired colour. Simply follow these steps:

1) Select your 'base' colour (or as close to it as possible) This is the colour that will set the theme for your stone. It will always sit at the base of the stone, and your inclusion will either be within it (if you select hidden inclusion), or in front of it (if you select partially visible or fully visible). The only exception to this is our preserved breast milk option where the entire stone will be composed of the preserved breast milk (however colours & whitening enhancers can of course be added in too!).

2) Select your crushed opal colour. This will be mixed in with your inclusion (except for breast milk where it will sit on top of) unless you state another way that you would like the opal arranged. You can of course also opt for no opal from the drop down list. We do highly recommend including opal for ashes jewellery (you can write a note to us during ordering about how much opal you would like).

What if I can’t see the colour I would like for the stone?

If you cannot see the colour you would like for your jewellery inclusion stone, please select the closest colour from the option, and then write a note to us in the ‘general notes’ box describing in as much detail as possible the colour you would like and we will do our best to accommodate this for you. We take pride in being able to create a custom piece especially for you. You can always include a picture or swatch of the colour you are seeking when you return your inclusion kit to us.
